Obituary:
MADISON/HAYWARD-Patrick A. Connery, age 64, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012, following a short battle against lung cancer. He was born on Feb. 16, 1948, in Madison, the son of Maurice and Lucille (O’Donnell) Connery. Pat attended St. Patrick’s Catholic School and went to Central High School until the school closed. He worked for the Milwaukee Public School system as a painting inspector in the 1970’s before returning to Madison to start Atlas Painting Company. Pat enjoyed hunting on his sister’s farm and at his cabin. He was also an avid Packers and racing fan. He is survived by his son, Sean (Terri) Connery of McFarland and their children, Matthew and Collin Connery, Alysha Nelson, and Hailey Birch; son, Daniel (Melinda) Connery of Oregon and their children, Bailey, Kieran, and Riley Connery; son, Patrick (Branden Hunt) Connery of Minneapolis; siblings, Donald Connery, Beverly Dunn Philumalee, Joseph (Linda Bailey) Connery, Mary (Roger) Claus, Emmett (JoAnn) Connery, Tom (Beverly) Connery, Sandra (James) Bancroft, Tim (Randy) Connery, and Jerry (Patti) Connery; sister-in-law, Carol Connery; brother-in-law, Leonard Small; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Maurice “Muggs” Connery, Richard Connery, and Mike Connery; and sisters, Jeanne (Dennis) Whitmore and Ruth Small. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. A special thank you to the Care Wisconsin team, their partners and the staff of Meriter Hospital.
