Cutler, Floyd V.

MADISON-Floyd V. Cutler, age 91, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Rest Haven Nursing Home.  He was born on Oct. 12, 1918, in Iowa County, son of the late Richard and Jessie (McIntosh) Cutler.  Floyd married the former Elmay Stonier on July 29, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa.  They farmed in the Dodgeville area and while farming, Floyd worked for Oscar Mayer in Madison.  In 1969, he sold the farm and moved to Madison, he then worked for the former Dairy Equipment Company and fixed lawnmowers as a hobby.  Floyd loved playing cards, especially euchre with family and friends.  He is survived by his children, Dwight and Mary Cutler of Verona, Sheri and Mike Zebosky of Orlando, Fla. and Brad Cutler of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Wayne (Heather Booth) Cutler, Douglas (Jeanette) Cutler, Kevin (Sandy) Reuter, Kraig Reuter, Kathy (Rick) Strand, and Joanne and Armond Domina; 10 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Breanne, Hannah, James, Nathan, Chad, Ashley, Mac, Kristian and Nathan; and a new great-great-grandson, Logan Reuter.  Floyd is further survived by his ex-wife, Elmay Cutler of Florida.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dorothy Reuter; and brothers and sisters.  Private family services will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made in Floyd’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice.  We wish to thank all of the staff at Rest Haven Nursing Home on Mineral Point Road, you gave such wonderful care to Floyd, he loved you as his second family.
