Ehrhart, Christopher L.
DEERFIELD - Christopher L. Ehrhart, age 44, of Deerfield, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at U.W. Hospital. He was born on February 23, 1966 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Earle and Nancy (Palmiter) Ehrhart. Christopher graduated from East High School in 1983. He furthered his education at MATC in the automotive program. Christopher married Anna Hensiak on May 2, 1992 in Madison, and together they had three sons. On October 28, 2006 he married Cyndi Benttine at the Inn on the Park in Madison. Christopher was a painter and started his own business, Chris's Painting, in 2001. He loved his children. Christopher coached soccer and little league. He raced for 25 years at various tracks in Wisconsin, and he volunteered with the Lions Club racing. Christopher was known as a fun loving guy who made many laugh. He was fortunate to be surrounded by good friends. Christopher is survived by his wife, Cyndi of Deerfield; three sons, Andrew, Nicholas and Jordan, all of Deerfield; sister, Gwendolyn Curtis Ehrhart of Madison; sister, Rebecca Sanders of San Diego, Calif; brother, Sam Sanders of Las Cruces, N.M.; mom, Nancy E. Sanders of Las Cruces, N.M; grandma, Barbara Palmiter of Dunedin, Fla; ex-wife and mother of his children, Anna Ehrhart of Deerfield; Cyndi's parents, Lester and Janice Benttine of Osage, Iowa; brother-in-law, Wayne Benttine of Riceville, Iowa; very good friends, the Freye, Powell and Bagley families; friends, Mike and Erin Smothers; aunts, uncles, friends, racing family and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his dad, Earle V. Ehrhart; sister, Jennifer Ehrhart; and grandparents, Earle and Luella (Hurley) Ehrhart, and Dr. Richard Palmiter. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 6:30 p.m., on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to a fund to be established for his sons' education.
