Harris, Karol (Galbraith)
MCFARLAND - Karol (Galbraith) Harris, age 55, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010. She was born on Jan. 7, 1955 in Madison, the daughter of James and Beverly (Breiby) Fish. Karol graduated from LaFollette High School in 1973. She worked for the State of Wisconsin Unemployment Insurance Division where she had many special friends. Karol married Ed Harris on April 21, 2000. Spending time with her grandchildren was her passion. She had a love for all animals, reading, gardening, planning social events and Brett Favre. Karol is survived by her husband, Ed; daughter, Kris (Steve) Kilcoyne of McFarland; son, Dustin (Jessica) Galbraith of Cottage Grove; grandchildren, Robert, Makaela and Devlin Kilcoyne, Austin, Ashtin and Ashlynn Galbraith; step-daughter, Kaitlyn Harris of Sun Prairie; father, James (Millie Kiefer) Fish of Monona; grandmother, Rosella Fish of Madison; sister, Kathy (Scott) Mentink of Fond du Lac; brothers, Scott (Mary) Fish of Tucson, Ariz., and Steve Fish of McFarland; special friend, Kathy Whitaker; and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Fish. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 7 p.m., on Thursday, March 11, 2010. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3 p.m until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society, 5132 Voges Rd, Madison, 53718-6941.
