Williamson, Selma Bertina

MADISON-Selma Bertina Williamson, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, in Madison.  She was born on Nov. 29, 1920, in Lodi, the daughter of Oman and Anna (Anderson) Nelson.  After Selma graduated from Lodi High School she was one of the first employees of CUNA.   She was united in marriage to Glenn Williamson on May 16, 1942.  Together they were members of St. Paul Lutheran Church.  Selma was very proud of her Norwegian heritage.  She enjoyed quilting, visiting the shut-ins of her church, and volunteering as an election worker.  Selma was always generous with her time and talents to many charities, but her family truly was her pride and joy.  She is survived by her children, Marc (Marcia) Williamson of Madison, Ingrid (Don) Hammes of Middleton, James (Eileen) Williamson of West Des Moines, Iowa, and John (Linda) Williamson of Madison; grandchildren, Tom and Steve (Danielle) Williamson, Matthew (Erin) Hammes and Kristi (Dave) Prindle, and Andrew (Stacy) Williamson, Karen (Brad) Zingler, and Eric (Adrienne) Williamson; great-grandchildren, Amanda and Tanner Williamson, Ben Williamson, Brandon and Keira Hammes, Alex Coffini, Ethan, Kari, and Natalie Prindle, Aaron and Samuel Williamson, and Gabriel Zingler; sisters-in-law, Betty Nelson, Mickey Nelson, and Pat Williamson; and brother-in-law, Ken (Jan) Williamson.  Selma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn Williamson, in 2007, and her brothers, Burdice and Philip Nelson.  Funeral services will be held at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2126 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010, with the Rev. Gerry Kuhnke presiding.  Visitation will be held at the church on Friday,  from 10 a.m. until the time of service.  Burial will be at County Line Cemetery, in rural Lodi.  Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Bread of Life Food Pantry Challenge Grant.

Visitation will be held at the church on Friday,  from 10 a.m. until the time of service.



Service:

Funeral services will be held at ST. PAUL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2126 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 5, 2010, with the Rev. Gerry Kuhnke presiding.



Cemetery:

Burial will be at County Line Cemetery, in rural Lodi.
