MONONA- Eunice Mae Minor, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at Hospice. She was born on May 14, 1930, in Horicon, the daughter of William and Hilda (Kulow) Manske. She married George H. Minor Sr., on Sept. 18, 1954, at Bethel Lutheran Church. Eunice was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed collecting lighthouses, where she met many fine people who were also interested in lighthouses. She was a long time coordinator for publishing the weekly Optiscope Newsletter. Eunice loved to travel, taking a trip to Alaska, as well as traveling to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. With her husband, she traveled all over the U.S., her favorite place was the outer banks of North Carolina. Eunice is survived by three sons, George (Susie) Minor Jr., of Keene, N.H.; Tom (Linda) Minor of Madison; Dan (Barb) Minor of Monona; and grandchildren, Joe, Dana and Austin. Eunice was preceded in death by her husband; and two brothers, Ray and Jerry Manske. Funeral services will be held at ST. STEPHEN’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5700 Pheasant Hill Road, Monona, on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Timothy Hansen presiding. Private burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, on Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., and at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
