Obituary:MIDDLETON-David R. Vanover, age 73, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012 in Middleton. He was born on September 11, 1938 in Nacogdoches, Texas, the son of Roy and Beatrice (Baker) Vanover. David was united in marriage to the love of his life, Josephine Alibrandi. He graduated in 1956 as Valedictorian of Goodrich High School in Texas and graduated with highest honors from Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas, with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. David was elected to Alpha Pi Mu Honorary Industrial Engineering Society, Lamar Honor Society and was selected as the Outstanding Engineering Graduate. Upon graduation, David joined General Electric Company starting on their Manufacturing Management Training Program and progressed to Senior Leader responsibility over his 30 year career. After retiring from GE, he became President and CEO of Weber Aircraft and subsequently Vice President of Forney International,Inc. David was a kind, loving, devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He inspired all who encountered him with his vast wisdom, faith, thoughtfulness and positive attitude. David is survived by his loving wife, Jo; a daughter, Allison (James) Meier and their son, David; two sons, Michael (Shelly) Vanover and their children, Hannah and Paige and Brian (Samantha) Vanover and a sister, Patsy (Sam) Schrock. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services were held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Monsignor Donn Heiar presiding.
