Obituary:
RANDOLPH/MADISON – Lois E. Brown, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Randolph. She was born on Nov. 3, 1933, in Eau Claire, the daughter of Albert E. and Emma (Wendt) Kruschke. Lois received her nursing degree from Luther Hospital in Eau Claire and her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. She married Ken Brown of Madison. Lois was devoted to her patients and the advancement of public health care in the Northwood’s. She helped to establish the Dr. Kate Newcomb Convalescence Center in Woodruff. She was an avid Girl Scout. A First Class Scout herself, leader and neighborhood Chairperson for the Blackhawk Girl Scout Council. She loved the outdoors and had a passionate love for all animals. Ms. Brown also served as a national director for the MS Society. Lois retired after working as a home health provider for more than 25 years. Lois is survived by her children, David (Jane) Brown of Randolph, Weston (Tamara) Brown of Rio, and Elaine (Mike) Burkhart of Cambridge; eight grandchildren, Alec, Jessica, Diana, Valerie, Joseph, Andrew, Brittany, and Kelly; and two great-grandchildren, Danielle and Anthony. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ken; step-son, Ken Brown Jr.; brother, Everett; and sister, Beverly. Funeral Services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, with the Rev. Calvin J. VandeZande presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2 p.m until the time of service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Society, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA. 22312, Alzheimer’s Association, 7818 Big Sky drive, Suite 109, Madison, WI. 53719, or the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1120 James Drive, Suite A, Hartland, WI. 53029.

Funeral Services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, with the Rev. Calvin J. VandeZande presiding.

Cemetery:
Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
